A "cottage food operation" is defined as a person who produces or packages a "non-potentially hazardous" food (such as baked goods, jams, jellies, candy, snack foods, cereal, granola, dry mixes, vinegar, or dried herbs) in a home kitchen (the kitchen of the person's primary domestic residence). A cottage food operation would still have to comply with the labeling, adulteration, disclosure, and other provisions found in the Food Law, as well as other applicable state or federal laws, or local ordinances.  Select one of the links below for additional information.

Welcomes New Staff Membershttp://www.allendalechamber.org/news/2010/6/1/love-inc-welcomes-new-staff-members.htmlAACC2010-06-01T13:30:32ZSandy Ohlman and Ron Brouwer have joined the staff at Love In the Name of Christ in Allendale.  Sandy is the new program manager and oversees client assistance and budget counseling.  She is excited to be part of Love I.N.C. and to be able to help the people of Allendale who are struggling to pay their bills.   “Love I.N.C. is a great ministry.” Sandy said, “I’m so thankful to God for the opportunity to serve along side this team.”   Sandy works with individuals and families in the Allendale community who find themselves unable to pay their bills.  She helps them get back on track with their finances through budgeting classes, food assistance, and resources through Love I.N.C. and other services agencies.  Please call Love I.N.C. at 895-5683 if you are struggling financially.  We are here to help you!

Ron Brouwer is Love I.N.C.’s Volunteer Coordinator and Bookkeeper.  He is working with the churches, community organizations and local schools to recruit new volunteers, as well as getting to know and working with our current volunteers.  The volunteers are the foundation of the day-to-day ministry of Love I.N.C.  If you or your business would like to spend some time volunteering at Love I.N.C., please call Ron at 895-5683, ext. 104.
