Announcer is a monthly publication of the
AACC. Each edition is filled with community,
township, business, non-profit, school and church

website. | Business Guide Advertising The
Business Guide is an annual publication of
the AACC, listing AACC members only. It is a local
business telephone guide and
is filled with community, township, business,
non-profit, school and church information, and
much more. To be sure your business is
included in this local guide, and for further

of the Business Guide are available at the

an AACC Business
Luncheon at Your Place
of Business The
AACC is introducing a unique opportunity to
network, look at what other businesses are doing,
and have a great time doing it. As an AACC
quarterly business luncheon host, you will be in
the unique position to network with Chamber
Members on a one to one basis. Any AACC member
wishing to host a quarterly luncheon may do so,
assuming the following responsibilities: The
host will be responsible for preparing a room,
large enough to seat 100 people, including
providing tables, chairs and table clothes. Tours
of your facility may be conducted upon your
direction after the luncheon. The AACC assumes
no responsibility for these tours. AACC
quarterly luncheons are held in March, June,
September and December. You can host one of
these luncheons and take this opportunity to
spotlight your business by contacting the AACC
at 892.2632. Hosting opportunities are
available on a first come, first serve basis.
| Showcase
Your Business at an AACC Business Luncheon As
a showcaser at a quarterly AACC business luncheon
meeting, you will be in the unique position to
introduce your business to other Chamber Members.
Any AACC member wishing to showcase their business
may do so and assumes the following
responsibilities: The showcasing
business must provide one door prize of their
choice to be given away at the luncheon. The
cost of showcasing is $25.00...please make
checks payable to Allendale Area Chamber of
Commerce. A 3X8 foot table for your
showcase will be provided. AACC quarterly
luncheons are held in March, June, September and
December. You can showcase at one of these
luncheons and take this opportunity to spotlight
your business by contacting the AACC at
892.2632. Showcasing opportunities are available
on a first come, first served basis. There
will be a limit of three showcase businesses per
luncheon.

AACC would be happy to provide any AACC member
with a mailing list of AACC members. The costs are
$35 for printed /list labels or the list can be e-mailed

Chamber is Pro-Active in Helping to Keep Your
Business Safe! After
several months of meetings and coordination
between law enforcement and the Chamber of
Commerce in Allendale, Coopersville, Hudsonville
and Jenison, the Eastern Ottawa County Silent
Observer Program is now in place! This
program was established to provide a mechanism for
offering rewards to members of the general public
for assistance in detecting and solving crime. Eastern

the Chamber notified of changes or expansions in
your business…..it may be worth a news release
or mention in this newsletter! Inform
the Chamber of any special education that you
received recently…..this is an opportunity for
you to share newfound knowledge with your fellow
business owners! Share
your observations and concerns with a Board member…..constructive
criticisms are opportunities to improve! Attend
a Board meeting at least once per year…..the
volunteer board can use a show of support! Attend
a Chamber function at least once per year…..don’t
miss an opportunity to meet other business owners
in your community and share common obstacles and
successes! Encourage
other businesses to become involved…..free your
directory up to work for you! Ideas
for Membership Benefits are always needed…..you,
the business owners, are in the best position to
tell us what you need! You,
or a key employee, could share your business
experience by serving on a committee!

Shopper Service for AACC Members! What
is the secret shopper service? The
AACC will send an anonymous shopper into your
business, who will evaluate your business for you,
to help you make the necessary revisions to make
shopping at your business a more appealing experience
for your customers! Contact the AACC office
at 892.2632 to arrange to have a secret
shopper visit your store! An evaluation form will
be completed and sent to you! All
