New Business Coming Soon!
Did you hear about the new business coming to Allendale?
No?!?! Hmmmm ...
That's because YOU haven't started it yet!
One of the questions I always get asked is "so what new businesses are coming to town?" Or another one of my favorites is "so when are we gonna get a ___________?"
Lately, I’ve been replying with “well, I guess when you build it.” And I am being completely serious.
You see, small businesses don’t just appear because a community hits a certain population threshold or because someone at “corporate” stuck a pin in a map and decided to set up shop.
Businesses start because someone has an idea and a passion. That’s it.
I understand entrepreneurship isn’t for everyone. It takes a special kind of person. A dreamer, risk taker, go-getter… But what if I told you that if you bring the idea and passion, we’ll bring the business know-how? Then would you consider being the “new business coming soon” in Allendale?
If you want to explore entrepreneurship or are at the beginning stages of starting a business, the Allendale Chamber wants to support you.
On Tuesday, June 25 from 5:30-6:30pm, you are invited to a free introductory session designed to help you, an aspiring business owner assess your ability to start and grow a company, as well as evaluate market and sales potential for your products/service. An expert consultant from the Small Business Development Center will discuss start-up costs, financing options, business planning tips and tricks, and outline necessary steps to building a successful business.
So what do you say? Are you in?
