Route 50: This Rapid bus route takes students to and from GVSU's Allendale Campus and GVSU's Pew Campus Downtown.

It’s about efficiently moving products and goods across town and across the globe to maximize business success. 

Allendale is an ideal place to start a business. Its central location makes it convenient and cost-effective to reach both customers and suppliers. 

Located 20 minutes from Muskegon, Grand Rapids, and Holland, Allendale’s seamless transportation system broadens possibilities for business and pleasure. Highway M-45 is the primary roadway linking Allendale to Interstate I-96 for efficient connections. The regional Interurban Transit Partnership, known as The Rapid, links eastern Allendale and Grand Valley State University to the university’s Pew Campus in Grand Rapids. In 2013, the transit company launched a 15-month $600,000 feasibility study to explore options for developing a 12-mile “Laker Line” between the Allendale campus and downtown Grand Rapids.

Travel to foreign and domestic locations is simplified with airports and three Amtrak stations situation within 30 miles of Allendale. Fly from Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids or Muskegon County Airport. Hop on Amtrak train at Grand Rapids, Holland or Rockford. Greyhound stations in Holland and Grand Rapids offer bus links to communities across the country.  The Lake Express, the fastest ferry on Lake Michigan, provides cross-lake transportation between Muskegon and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
